Councilman Robert Wood

Councilman Robert Wood was elected in November 2009 and sworn in on December 7, 2009 for a four-year term. Previously, he served on the Fairborn Zoning Board of Appeals. He is a member of the Fairborn Rotary Club and has served as a prior board member.

Robert is actively involved in the Fairborn community. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the DFBA (Downtown Fairborn Betterment Association). In addition, Robert, serves on the Fairborn Education Foundation, which raises money for supplementary projects to assist the schools.

He received his BA in Theology from Covenant Christian University, a division of Life Christian University. He received the professional designation of Chartered Financial Planning Counselor from the College for Financial Planning and is a member of the Professional Insurance Agents of Ohio.

Robert has over 16 years of sales management, project management, consulting and business ownership experience. He currently operates a multi-line insurance agency, Allstate Insurance in Fairborn, which has won multiple national awards.

He and his wife, Diane, moved to Fairborn over five years ago from neighboring Clark County where they lived the past 35 years.
