On January 1, 2004, Betsy Deeds joined the City’s legal team as the Assistant City Prosecutor.

Betsy graduated magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky in May of 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. After graduation, she attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in Columbus where she received a Juris-Doctorate in June 2003. Betsy was admitted to the Ohio State Bar in November 2003.

Prior to receiving her Juris-Doctorate, Betsy gained valuable law experience as an Extern for the State of Ohio Attorney General’s office and through an OSU Mortiz College of Law Prosecution Clinic where she represented the City of Delaware’s Prosecutor’s Office. In May 2002, Betsy became a Law Clerk for the City of Columbus Prosecutor’s Office further developing her working knowledge of the law and court proceedings.
